Magnificent Canadian Rockies

Canadian RockiesDay 1 - Fly from your home to Calgary, Alberta, Canada, in the shadow of the majestic Rocky Mountains. There is time for a city tour and a visit to Fort Calgary before a sumptuous dinner with your tour companions.     


Day 2 - Following your included breakfast, set off with your guide and motor coach westward to enter the beautiful Banff National Park, one of four contiguous parks that feature scenic beauty and adventure. Arrive in Banff where elk roam the streets along with park rangers and tourists. See the city and visit the Sulphur Mountain Gondola for a ride to the top and views that cannot be duplicated! Check into your hotel for a two night stay. Dinner is included this evening.

Day 3 - This is Canada Day! Have a relaxing morning with time to explore this delightful village on your own. During the afternoon – there is a special surprise that awaits. Just a tip: Ladies if you love a uniform – this is for you! Then we are off to the largest cattle and horse ranch in Alberta for a ride in a covered wagon and for a true Western experience of a Steak Fry Cookout!

Day 4 - Today is special as we visit the historic and beautiful Lake Louise. This lake is the most famous in all of Canada for its stunning turquoise color and the mountain setting for the Chateau. We then head northward on the Ice Fields Parkway to the Columbia Icefields, where we stop at the Athabasca Glacier to ride a huge snow cat out onto the glacier. This glacier was also the scene for Superman in one of his movie exploits. Our journey then takes us to Jasper for a two night stay in the Jasper National Parks, largest of the national parks and the headquarters for the transcontinental railway to Western Canada.

Day 5 - Sit back and relax as you start your morning by visiting Malign Canyon. Then climb steading upward to beautiful Malign Lake where we enjoy a cruise on the serene waters. Head back to Jasper for the evening to relax.

Day 6 - We start to complete our circle as the coach carries us to Edmonton this morning. We arrive in time for lunch and a tour through the historic Rutherford House, with costumed guides. See the rest of the city before checking into your hotel to refresh for a Farewell dinner.

Day 7 - A morning’s drive to Calgary is in store ending at the airport for your afternoon flight.
